Abstract: This study examines the impact of adult education on ICT skill development, focusing on how continuing education programs enhance technology skills among adult learners. The objectives were to assess the effectiveness of adult education in improving ICT competencies, to identify key factors that contribute to successful ICT skill development, and to evaluate the challenges faced by adult learners in ICT education. A survey research design was employed to gather data from participants enrolled in ICT training programs, providing comprehensive insights into their experiences. A sample size of 400 adult learners was selected for robust analysis. The purposive sampling technique was used to target individuals actively participating in ICT education. The case study was conducted in Rivers, Nigeria, a region with growing demand for ICT skills. Findings indicated that adult education significantly improved ICT competencies, leading to enhanced employability and productivity. However, challenges such as access to technology and limited training resources were identified. The study recommended increasing investment in ICT education and expanding access to technology for adult learners.
